In need of update

We stayed in this condo in April somewhat last minute so the options were limited as this was spring break. The location was ideal and the view of the ocean was great; however, this condo is in dire need of some simple updating. We have rented in Wild Dunes on multiple occasions and were really disappointed with our stay in this unit. Some specific feedback: * There was no broom in the unit so when tracking in sand and or a child spells their snack (for example), there's no way to quickly/easily sweep it up. There were two vacuums in the master closet but my husband could not get one of them to work and the other did work but was just so old and heavy and hard to maneuver that it was frustrating. * The kitchen is in desperate need of additional cooking utensils. There is a very small assortment of utensils but not very many so we were constantly having to wash the ones we used in order to use them again. It would be beneficial for the owner to go to the Dollar Tree and spend $20-$30 bucks on some additional cooking/serving utensils to offer a better assortment for renters to use. * There were no kitchen hand towels in the condo. We had to use the provided bath (hand) towels or paper towels to dry dishes and wipe counters, etc. as needed. * The unit was very clean! However, the decor is very dated and kitchen and bath counter tops, floors, etc. haven't been updated so even though it was very clean, it looked and felt dirty since it is just aged. There is a stool in the master bath that just screams old, and it should probably just be removed from the unit so that it isn't an eye sore. * The master bath has a tub that has been converted to a shower by hanging a curved shower rod but the shower curtain does not wrap all the way around which allows water to get out but more importantly doesn't provide full privacy when you are showering. The shower curtain basically only covers the front of the tub but not the side that backs up against the counter (if you look at the picture provided in the listing). I could provide additional feedback but this should give you a good overview of the unit. Again, the unit was very clean and the location was great, but in general, we were very disappointed in this stay at Wild Dunes and would not be interested in renting this unit again in the future.

Nice beach condo

Can’t beat the location and ease of getting to beach. Property manager very helpful with all of our questions. Access to everything within resort and perfect for our family getaway.

Policies

While we love furry friends, pets are not allowed at The Sweetgrass Inn, Boardwalk Inn, Residences at Sweetgrass, Wild Dunes Vacation Rentals, or anywhere on the resort grounds. A $400 minimum fee will be assessed, per pet, if in breach of resort policy. Other fees and fines may apply. Service animals are welcome at Wild Dunes Resort and are not subject to the foregoing Pet Policy.

Isle of Palms noise ordinance requires that “quiet time” is in effect Sunday through Thursday from 10 pm-10 am and Friday and Saturday from 11 pm-10 am and includes noise restrictions on stereos, televisions and any other noise. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the beach and public streets. Beach fires and fireworks are prohibited due to fire hazards. Beach chairs, umbrellas and tents left unattended on the beach after sunset may be disposed of by the City. For safety, guests are asked to refill any beach holes they may dig.

Smoking, vaping or use of illegal substances are not permitted in any rental units. Fees starting at $400 will be assessed if smoking occurs in the accommodation

A 16% Resort Fee will be added to each accommodation rate.
VACATION RENTAL AND RESORT POLICIES
Fee Policy
A 16% Resort Fee will be added to each accommodation rate.
A Departure Cleaning Fee will be added to each reservation to cover check out cleans. These vary by unit size and seasonality.

Check in time is guaranteed by 4pm.
Check out time is at 10am.
Guests must be 21 years of age to check-in to our vacation homes and condos.

A Cleaning Fee based on the bedroom count of the accommodation will be added to each reservation to cover check-out cleans.

Deposit Policy
Wild Dunes Homes and Condos Deposit: 50% of the value of the entire stay, inclusive of room rate, taxes, resort fees, and package items, is due at the time of booking. The remaining 50% is due 30 days prior to arrival and will automatically be charged to your credit card.

Cancellation Policies: 50% deposit is due at booking and the remaining 50% is due 30 days prearrival. All reservations are non-moveable at the time of booking. All deposits are
nonrefundable if the booking is cancelled.

Check in time is guaranteed by 4pm.
